On September 20, 2552. It is my birthday. My father took me and my family to celebrate at a restaurant in town. The journey from home to a few minutes to the restaurants. Shortly we were up to. We started to order food to eat. Suddenly, the lights were off in the store. As if someone close it. I was shocked, as if the battery terrifying. I look to see the lights gradually light up like candles. And later my sister came up with a big cake. I was so happy. And excited that everyone sang Happy Birthday to me. In that year the first year that I have a gift from my family. Finally I said I was. And it's given me the best gift to me. Of what it is love.

     สึนามิ ส่วนใหญ่ เกิดจากการเคลื่อนตัวของเปลือกโลกใต้ทะเลอย่างฉับพลัน อาจจะเป็นการเกิดแผ่นดินถล่มยุบตัวลง หรือเปลือกโลกถูกดันขึ้นหรือยุบตัวลง ทำให้มีน้ำทะเลปริมาตรมหาศาลถูกดันขึ้นหรือทรุดตัวลงอย่างฉับพลัน พลังงานจำนวนมหาศาลก็ถ่ายเทไปให้เกิดการเคลื่อนตัวของน้ำทะเลเป็น คลื่นสึนามิ ที่เหนือทะเลลึก จะดูไม่ต่างไปจากคลื่นทั่วๆไปเลย จึงไม่สามารถสังเกตได้ด้วยวิธีปกติ แม้แต่คนบนเรือเหนือทะเลลึกที่ คลื่นสึนามิ เคลื่อนผ่านใต้ท้องเรือไป ก็จะไม่รู้สึกอะไร เพราะเหนือทะเลลึก คลื่นนี้ สูงจากระดับน้ำทะเลปกติเพียงไม่กี่ฟุตเท่านั้น จึงไม่สามารถแม้แต่จะบอกได้ด้วยภาพถ่ายจากเครื่องบิน หรือยานอวกาศ
   

   การเกิดแผ่นดินถล่มใต้ท้องทะเลลึก มักจะมาจากการเคลื่อนตัวของแผ่นเปลือกโลกสองแผ่นที่ดันเข้าหากัน แรงเสียดทานจะเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อยๆ จนเมื่อถึงจุดที่แรงปะทะจากแผ่นเปลือกโลกมีเหนือค่าแรงเสียดทานแล้ว ก็จะเกิดการเคลื่อนตัวอย่างฉับพลัน การเคลื่อนตัวที่แผ่นหนึ่งมุดเข้าใต้อีกแผ่น เรียกว่า Subduction ทำให้เปลือกโลกตรงรอยต่อ ถูกหนุนสูงขึ้นหรือทรุดฮวบยวบตัวลง น้ำทะเลเหนือส่วนนั้นก็ถูกดันหรือดูดเข้ามาแทนที่อย่างฉับพลัน การเคลื่อนตัวของน้ำในปริมาตรหลายๆล้านตัน ทำให้เกิดคลื่นสะท้อนออกไปทุกทิศ เป็นแหล่งกำเนิดของ คลื่นสึนามิ นั่นเอง
